The tomato plant, which has a height of 10 or 15 cm, has a slightly woody stem. There are 5-9 leaflets on the leaves, which are 10-25 cm long. Its leaves are hairy. Tomato flowers, 1–2 cm long and usually yellow, are 3-12 on a stalk. Generally, its red, edible fruit is 1-2 cm in diameter in wild plants, while it is larger in cultivated plants. Most vitamins are found in this fruit and it has a cancer-preventing structure. These vitamins and preventive minerals are found in the peel of the tomato.
