LEMON TYPES

MAYER

It is like a combination of lemon and orange/tangerine. Green and juicy in September and October, yellow in late October and November, sour and juicy; In December, it is orange in color, sweetish and juicy. Fruit size is not very large, it has seeds and thin peel.
 

ENTERDONAT

This variety is produced mostly in Turkey and especially in the Eastern Mediterranean region. This very early lemon has the largest share in Turkey’s lemon export. Its fruit is large, its shape is long cylindrical. The most prominent feature is the sideways tilted nipple. The fruit shell is thin, smooth, light green and shiny.

LAMAS

This variety is cultivated in a specific region west of Mersin (Erdemli, Silifke) in the Mediterranean region, as it is ecology selective. Lamas, which is the earliest lemon variety after interdonato in Turkey, is a very high quality lemon variety. It is very convenient to store and transport.

EUREKA

It is the juiciest of all lemon types. The color of the fruit is dark yellow, the peel is soft and thin, the shape is round and small. The trees are medium-sized, the leaves are bright green. It is a newer variety than other lemons. The acidity level is high. It is less core. Its production has increased in recent years in our country.
